Joint Implant Surgeons and The Ohio State Medical Association are participating in a campaign called "Stop the Medicare Meltdown". The goal is to collect one million signatures for a petition letting Congress know that temporary fixes are no longer acceptable.

The OSMA has been urging legislators to permanently fix the sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula for years. At this time, there is no permanent solution in sight.
